After a bath, I found Jacob playing the ipad. In the buff.

Happy
The other day I took Jacob with me to run a bunch of errands around town. As it got close to noon (his nap time), I kept asking him "Are you getting tired?"
His answer was so smart and cute. "No tired. I happy!"
I love that my 2 year old understands that the opposite of tired is happy.

To all those who are following me on Pinterest. . .
I am sorry. The truth is, I joined Pinterest for very selfish reasons (someone pinned my gardening blog and I was trying to figure out where that referral traffic was coming from).
I don't do crafts. I don't even think about doing crafts. The last crafty thing I did was to remove all the crafts from my home so I would not have to dust them.
I do cook delicious recipes. But I'm too busy cooking and cleaning up to spend time pinning.
I did try using Pinterest when I was planning a big closet redo. But then we just went to Ikea.
So, thank you for following me. I'm sorry I'm not that Pinteresting.

Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas. It was much quieter this year, but we enjoyed the time and attention we got since we were the only children/grandchildren in town. We did miss our cousins, and hope to celebrate with them again in the future!
We spent Christmas eve at Sam's mom's house. The boys loved playing games, watching trains, and of course, opening gifts. Christmas morning was spent at home--I think Adam woke up and came into our bed at 4am. He gave a short report on what he found in the family room, then we all slept until 7am.
Christmas afternoon we went to Sam's dad's house, and celebrated with them. There were more trains (heaven for Jacob!), food, and fun.
This is what Adam gave me for Christmas (he gave everyone something made of Legos). It's the signs of the three major religions--Judaism (star of David), Christianity (cross), and Islam (star and crescent).
Cute display for my Christmas cards. In case you mistake me for someone crafty, my sister Kate gave this to me. :)

Terrible Two's
My friend once told me children in "The Terrible Two's" aren't terrible, it's that if you leave them unattended for any length of time, something terrible happens.
I agree.
Here's Jacob and his best friend Ben after they got into a tub of Aquafor (think Vaseline). Click on the pictures to see them bigger, and shinier.
